The Podgorny Robinson gallery presents at Photo London 2023 the works of artists Massimo Vitali, Tom Fecht and Jean-François Jaussaud. Each belonging to a different classical genre, namely the landscape, the genre scene and the still life, they divert, sublimate and blur the boundaries between these old categories. In Massimo Vitali's seaside landscapes teeming with holidaymakers, the vivid colors and disconcerting perspectives give these otherwise ordinary scenes an unreal atmosphere. With Tom Fecht, on the contrary, it is through an austere and refined approach that his seascapes acquire an almost mythical aspect. As for the still lifes of Jean-François Jaussaud, they harmoniously combine heterogeneous objects and invite, through dissonance, the absurd or the decrepit, to question the ephemeral and the fragility of things.

La galerie Podgorny Robinson présente à Photo London 2023 les œuvres des artistes Massimo Vitali, Tom Fecht et Jean-François Jaussaud. S’inscrivant chacun dans un genre classique différent, à savoir le paysage, la scène de genre et la nature morte, ils détournent, subliment et brouillent les frontières entre ces anciennes catégories. Dans les paysages côtiers grouillant de vacanciers de Massimo Vitali, les couleurs vives et les perspectives déconcertantes confèrent à ces scènes pourtant ordinaires une atmosphère irréelles. Chez Tom Fecht au contraire, c’est par une approche austère et épurée que ses marines acquièrent un aspect quasi-mythique. Quant aux natures mortes de Jean-François Jaussaud, elles associent harmonieusement des objets hétéroclites et invitent, à travers la dissonance, le saugrenu ou le décrépit, à questionner l’éphémère et la fragilité des choses.
