Goodman Gallery brings leading artists from the African continent, the diaspora and beyond to the South of France for the season, as it returns to Saint Paul de Vence for a residency at Galerie Podgorny. Situated opposite the iconic Le Colombe d’Or Hotel and Restaurant, Galerie Podgorny is internationally recognised for its focus on modern and contemporary sculpture, creating a natural dialogue between the two galleries.

On view from mid-July to late August 2026, the exhibition unfolds as an evolving presentation, with works rotating throughout the residency.

Bringing together contemporary works with select historical inclusions, the presentation explores dialogues between abstraction and figuration, movement and materiality, and the powerful ways artists continue to reimagine histories of modernism from multiple perspectives.

Cut, Her and Pour are part of Kentridge’s ongoing Lexicon series. Acting as a visual dictionary, the sculptures form a vocabulary of symbols, or ‘glyphs’, representing a collection of everyday objects, suggested words, or icons that are ubiquitous in the artist's broader practice. Pour is the newest addition to this collection of bronzes.
